Modern School, Koradi Road organized the week long Communal Harmony Campaign week from 19th Nov. to 25th Nov. 2015. The inaugural day programme was graced by Mrs. Anuradha Sardeshpande, Principal Modern School and Mr. Rohan Kapai, Director, N.K. Academy. The Principal in her speech reiterated the unique trait of unity in diversity of India and called upon the students to be the apostles of peace for building a strong nation.
Mr. B. K. Mishra, school coordinator, appealed to the students to rise above petty divisive ways of vested leaders and believe inhumanity.
On 20th Nov. a drawing competition was held for the cadets of NCC,RSP and NCDCC on the main theme ‘Communal Harmony and National Integration’.
The patriotic song competition on 21st Nov for students of std VI & VII also evoked a good response.
The essay writing competition on the central theme helped the students of std. X to express their concerns and ponder on it.
A skit was presented by the students of std. IX on 23rd Nov. The students of std. XI were shown an inspiring episode on communal harmony from a movieof Charlie Chaplin named ‘The Dictator”. A fancy dress competition on 24th Nov. involving the students of std.I & II brought out the diversity of our country. On the same day Flag Day was celebrated as a fund raising event to help the children of war victims.
The concluding programme was held on the 24th Nov. Prizes were given to the winners of the various competitions held during the week. The prize winning group song was presented on the occasion.
Mrs. Anuradha Sardeshpande, Principal and Mrs. Neeru Kapai, Director appreciated the efforts of the staff and students to make this event a success.
