Modern School, Koradi Road celebrated the 71st Independence Day with patriotic fervour programme was held which underlined the importance of nation-building, a key to the emergence of a vibrant secular and democratic India. The tricolor was proudly hoisted amidst the singing of National Anthem. The chief guest on the occasion was Mrs. Rina Sinha, Business Partner NIIT Ltd. While addressing the gathering she invoked the students to be independent of all temptations while taking the best out of digitization in this digital era. Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of our Nation had given the clarion call of ‘SWADESHI’ and staying true to our roots. The students should follow this mantra.
Mrs. Anuradha Sardeshpande, Principal Modern School in her speech laid emphasis on the mission initiated by the Indian Premier to make the country neat and clean by keeping the School, its vicinity as well as the whole city spic and span, thus contributing our list towards Nation building. Principal’s speech was followed by students of Modern School taking the Swachhta Pledge. On this occasion, a scintillating programme was put up by the students beginning with the National Song ‘Vande Mataram’ followed by speech in English and Hindi, Poem recitation in Hindi. Also, the newly elected members of the students’ council were presented with a sash, on the august occasion Mrs. Neeru Kapai, Director of Modern School and Ms. Rupali Dey, Vice Principal of Modern School were also eminently present on this occassion.
